Miniskirts are Sexier in French
Minijupe may not sound like a sexy good time, but it means “mini skirt” in French and is the name of LA’s premiere girls only DJ dance party. Madame Leenda Karina, who started DJing at the Andy Warhol Retrospective at the Museum of Contemporary Art, brings sexy back with a group of rotating female spinners playing everything from 1960s beat to psychedelic and garage rock. They’ve already brought down the house at Beauty Bar, Bigfoot Lodge, and the Standard, and this Tuesday (and every other Tuesday thereafter) they’ll be spinning at Bar 107. It’s 21+ and free, so wear your minijupes and bring your dancing shoes in celebration of Obama’s inauguration!
