Learn Music This Sunday
This Sunday evening, John Wood, creator of Learning Music Monthly, will be teaching you music. Who cares about talent, it’s about having fun, expressing yourself, and pretending you’re in a band for just one night. Learning Music Monthly started as an album-a-month project by Wood (who has played the keyboard for many people including the
one and only Kelly Osbourne) and eventually expanded into something much more. Well his event over at Machine Project is creating a giant band out of anyone who wants to participate. He will conduct an interactive lecture which will involve the audience learning music and performing it at the end of the night. All participants are asked to bring a small, portable instrument (they recommend keyboards for this reason). If you don’t have an instrument, you can sing or clap along. Every guest receives this month’s Learning Music album and can visit the art table, poetry booth, or mini-recording studio within the space.
